SO MANY WONDERFULGIVEAWAYS

WOW!!! There are so many great giveaways going on right now. They are everywhere. The snow is melting finally,and it feels like Spring is in the air, but we all know old man winter isn't done yet. I can not wait till the warm weather comes. 
   I went to see the surgeon in Pittsburgh, and I guess I will be having more surgery next month. I sometimes don't think this is ever going to end, but as the Doctor said, You are alive, be thankful! 
I am very thankful, and I thank God every day for sparing me. I have gone through surgeries for ten years, and another 10 years won't hurt me. Hope everyone has a good evening.

FINALLY THEY ARE HOOKING UP NEW ELECTRIC BOX

Tomorrow morning I will finally get my new electric box hooked up. I have been afraid to sleep with the way they had it wired. It is costing us $1600.00, something I could have done without, but cheaper then I thought it was going to be. I am just thankful I caught it in time. It sure has taken these guys long enough to get thier butt moving. i think they were waiting for warmer weather.  It is 46 degrees today, and it feels wonderful. I got a wonderful swap package in the mail today and as soon as I get pics taken, I will post them today.

I had made Jennifer a doll for Tammy's PRIMITIVE SWAP, and I wanted to show it to you. I was so pleased with how she came out, I have started another one for myself. I am so glad Jen liked her.

   This is what I came home to Tuesday! I was in Tammy's swap over at  A PRIMITIVE PLACE, and I had Jennifer from STITCHIN THYME for a partner. She has totally spoiled me. I just love the bunny...he is so adorable! Just so many goodies...

BAD, BAD, BAD WEEKEND!!!!!!

Well guys, my weekend just did not turn out how I hoped. Friday I went shopping, and to the thrift store junkin'. Everything was great,and I was really having a good time. Now I live in the country, and it's pretty isolated back here. I pull in the driveway, and I smell a really bad burning smell. My one daughter lives up the hill from me, so I assumed they were burning something, which they were. I went in the house and turned on some lights...they flickered and then no electric...went to the breaker box, switched them all, and it came back on. Turned on the t.v. and off it went again. So I  call my son-in-law, and he tells me I have too many things on,which I knew better. Can't find anything wrong, so I call an electrician(tried four of them before I could find one to come after hours.)  Thank God he came right away.He checked everything in here,which was okay. Then outside he went to the electric pole, which was smoking and arcing, and ready to catch fire. OMG! Grabbed my doggies, and some important things,and went to the garage. Couldn't get anyone at the electric co, so he disconnected everthing, pulled out the insides and bypassed the main breaker. He said I was very lucky it didn't burn the house down. And of course my dh was out on the road. Now the e. company has to come out while the electrician is here, disconnect everything while the lines and box are replaced. Then it has to be inspected by an inspecter before it is turned back on by the electric co. This will end up costing a small fortune I was told,and in the middle of winter at that! But you know what, The electric company was around and inspected everyones poles and fuse boxes in Sept. and everything was fine. All I have done is thank God for not letting my house burn down. We were just so lucky.  Now Tuesday, I will have to call e. co. and tell them what happened. I will probably have a wonderful week with them.  Then yesterday I repaced my printer that was only 3 months old that had quit working with a new one And guess what? It doesn't  work either. I just sat and laughed and cried for an hour!!! Oh my, Wonder what tomorrow might bring....

A New Year, but no new resolutions this year. I decided I wasn't going to bother, because I never seem to do them anyways. How about you? I am so glad for the New Year, I sure hope it is better than last year. It is so cold out, and is starting to snow...wouldn't you love to see some beautiful spring flowers popping up through the ground? As you can tell, I can not wait for Spring and some warm weather.  I ran across this again and it was the perfect reminder for me. I think I shall start living by these sweet quotes. I love both of these.

I went to the thrift store and found this great candleholder. I can't wait to redo it. I have several thoughts in mind. I also wanted to post a pic of  two of the snowmen I finished. I need a pick me up. Should have had these done before Christmas. But I will keep them out till Spring.

The Mommy Files Christmas Swap

I was in a swap over at THE MOMMY FILES, and I had Carrie of KELLY, CARRIE, KYLIE, AND ZACHARY!  By coincidence, Carrie was also my partner for the Halloween Swap. I was glad I got her again. I got a beautiful candle holder and candle, a wonderful little book,  and alot of other goodies,as you can see. Thank you so much Carrie. Love it.
